A little history of our 3 dogs

We got our first named Kane in 1993 from the shelter in LA, he was the quietest in the pound, he just looked so sweet. We took him home that very day, he crapped in the back seat of our brand new car, it was so funny. He was a great pet, we purposely tried to arrange our schedules around him so that someone would be at home with him all the time.
There we days however when we could not, he prodeeded to destroy the carpet from the door entrance and down the hall until about 10 feet was ruined. He was diagnnosed with separation anxiety. Fortunately for us the carpet was already over 10yrs old and the landlord already had promised to replace it before we got Kane. So in a way he helped them pull it up LOL.
About 6 months later we were able to move to Gardena CA to a house that had a large back yard. In the first 2 days we were there however he scaled the fence, 6 feet high, and on 2nd day we found him on front lawn sitting pretty just waiting for his daddies. The owner of house then added 2 more feet which then settled that problem. Still however he hated being left alone.
It was then we decided time to get another baby. We adopted another male but Kane just didn't like him, so a friend took this baby as her own. We searched locally and this is when we found Makana, they loved each other immediately. Separation problem settled almost immediately.

Makana what can I say, she had big ears a small head, big body, but she seemed like a runt compared to others in kennel, She sat back in the back alone. Apaparently she was deprived by being beat out by other dogs for her share of food.

She has been an absolute joy, full of life, spunk, tenaciousness. She is a food hound, never took the time to eat her food, juist swallowed it like it was her last meal.
She harbors all gifts and toys that are give to all of them. When another our pets would leave their's alone she would take it and it was then her possesion forever. If they would try to play with it she would want to fight. It was pay back for all those days she probably got beat out.
This past few weeks have been absolutely agonizing for us, Makana has become quite ill, she went from 80+ lbs to about 50. She could not keep any food down at all. Our vet ran numerous tests and all came back negative. After leaving her in hospital a few days to get her hydrated she came home, Still she is not back to normal, she is eating baby food mostly. My fears are she is still ill with something we cannot see. Her old demeanor has dissapeared. We pray she gets back to her old self. We love you so much Makana.

Kaili, she appeared one day out of the blue on our front lawn. Roger brought her back in to the back yard and she just laid down rolled over onto her back and wanted love immediately. It appeared she had recently given birth. We posted pics of her and notices and no one came forward.
She was probably was abandoned and luckily she found her way to us. She joined in beautifully to our family. She is a little barker however and sometimes brings the rest in with her and then we have a choir.
She too is a little piggy. They get fed once a day and get treats in morning and at night. somehow I think they are getting food from someplace else. LOL. She and Makan love birds, eating them that is, so I think they are supplementing their meals. LOL.
About 2years ago she developed an allergy, its arash that we cannot rid her of, All medicines are a temporary fix, the minute she comes off them she comes back looking like a full blown rash. Sop now she is on propholactically on keflex which seems to have stopped the rash but not the itching. Shampoo's, salves have not helped. Prednisone made her look like a blowfish.
She is the most swetest dog, she loves her daddies lap, constant rubbings. She is the ultimate attention "hound". LOL, But its OK w/us.

you do not have shame? Telling the history of... dogs? there is a lot of things to do in our world, before the dogs there is a lot of people without any history...
